Provision of the rental vehicle
At Multi Auto, we specialize in car rental in La Réunion, offering a convenient solution to explore the island in complete freedom. When you choose to rent from us, you will be subject to our General Rental Conditions (GRC), which govern the terms of your vehicle rental. We would like to provide you with an overview of the main conditions to facilitate your rental experience.
When booking your car rental ou utility on our website, you will be asked to accept our T&Cs, which implies that you have read and accepted these conditions. We ensure that the vehicle rental be done in a way transparent et fair, by establishing a contract that protects the interests of both parties.
Before handing over the rental vehicle to you, we will need certain documents from you, such as your ID, your address, your valid driver's license and payment method in your nameDepending on the vehicle category you choose, other criteria may also be required, such as specific age requirements, minimum driving license length or specific payment methods.
The rental agreement will specify where the vehicle will be made available to you. You will have the option to pick up and return the car at the location of your choice, as indicated in the agreement, or at one of our four agencies located at Roland Garros airport in Saint-Denis, Sainte-Marie, Saint-Gilles or Saint-Pierre.
The validity period of your rental contract is 30 daysIf you wish to extend the rental beyond this period, a renewal will be necessary.
When you hand over your vehicle, we will ensure that it is in good condition. However, it is your responsibility to check that it is free of any damage or defects at that time. You must also return the vehicle in the same condition in which you received it.
If you wish to authorize additional drivers, please mention them in the contract. They will be authorized to drive the vehicle, but they will remain your responsibility. However, in the event of a traffic violation, both the renter and the driver at the time of the violation will be held liable. We recommend that you opt to add an additional driver when making your reservation or upon arrival at the agency.
Insurances
We provide a liability insurance included in the rental, covering material and bodily damage for the driver and passengers. In the event of an accident, it is important to take all necessary measures to establish the facts and preserve evidencePlease note that the vehicle is not insured against theft, so we advise you to take all necessary precautions to avoid this type of incident, such as parking in a safe place, do not leave the keys inside the vehicle when you are awayand of lock all doors.
Before picking up the vehicle, you will need to make a security deposit called a "caution", which will include the vehicle's excess as well as a fuel guarantee of €100. In addition, you will need to pay the estimated rental amount. If you wish to reduce the excess, you have the option of subscribing to a partial or total excess reduction, either during your online booking, or in an agency.
The rental contract ends and liability is lifted only when you return the vehicle, keys and administrative documents. The vehicle must be returned during our agency opening hours..
In the event of non-payment of the services subscribed to, damage to the vehicle or non-return of the vehicle (except in cases of force majeure), the agency will collect the security deposit.
