Long-term rental for businesses

Whether you are on holiday in Réunion or staying for a longer period, car hire is a practical way to explore the island. But it is essential to understand the differences between long-term and short-term rental in Réunion, so you can choose the option that best suits your needs. This article guides you through the advantages and features of each formula, to help you decide between long-term and short-term rental in Réunion.

What is short-term rental?

Short-term rental covers car rentals generally lasting between one day and one month. It is ideal for visitors who want to explore Réunion for a short period, whether a weekend, a week or a few weeks.

Advantages of short-term rental in Réunion:

1. Flexibility: short-term rental offers great flexibility in duration. You can hire a car for a day or a few weeks, depending on your specific needs.
2. Variety of vehicles: you have access to a wide range of vehicles, from small city cars to SUV, as well as luxury cars to hire in Réunion. You can choose a vehicle suited to your itinerary.
3. No long-term commitment: no long-term commitment is needed, so you can return the vehicle as soon as you no longer need it.
4. Ideal for holidays: if you are on holiday in Réunion, short-term rental is the perfect way to explore the island at your own pace without depending on public transport.

What is long-term rental?

Long-term rental runs from several months to several years. At MultiAuto, medium-term rental covers needs from 6 to 24 months, and long-term rental starts from 24 months, for local companies and professionals. That is why this option is often chosen by residents, expats and businesses needing vehicles for extended use.

Advantages of long-term rental (LLD) in Réunion:

1. Economical: long-term rental can be cheaper in the long run than daily rental, as monthly rates are generally lower and costs are spread over the contract.
2. Servicing included: long-term rental contracts often include regular servicing, so you don’t have to worry about servicing costs or unexpected repairs.
3. Regular vehicle renewal: you can enjoy a recent vehicle by renewing it periodically, so you always drive a modern, well-maintained car.
4. Ideal for residents and businesses: if you live in Réunion or your company needs a fleet of vehicles, long-term rental is a practical option that offers peace of mind and controlled costs.

Which rental option to choose?

The choice between short-term and long-term rental depends on the nature of your stay and your specific needs.

• If you are on holiday: short-term rental is ideal. It lets you choose a vehicle suited to your stay, whether a few days or a few weeks, with no long commitment.
• If you are a resident or on an extended stay: medium-term rental (6 to 24 months) is a more economical, practical solution; companies and professionals opt for long-term rental, from 24 months. It gives you a vehicle without worrying about servicing or resale, at an attractive rate.

So choose short-term or long-term rental! Either way, MultiAuto offers solutions tailored to your needs, so you can enjoy the freedom of discovering Réunion at your own pace with a rental vehicle perfectly suited to your stay.
